Be outside, offline and calm
Nature and grounding are very calming for the nervous system. Did I tell you already that you can be tired everywhere? Get yourself a hammock and spend your day in nature. Absorb sunlight!
Tension Release Exercise
Shake and tremble your way to calmness and the “No man’s land” phase. I started recommending this in coachings and with one woman, it did wonders. She started shaking for several months. Lots of tears and other stresses came out and now she is enjoying life. Of course there was more to it than just shaking, yet it really was a vital part of her recovery. I can’t offer this myself yet, but there is a free Tension Release Exercise course to learn to “shake it off”. Ofcourse when stressors come up, you need to be able to deal with them, the rest of the program aims to help you with that.
Use the neuroplasticity technique to calm down your heart-rate when you are in ‘tired and wired’. Make it a habit. It becomes easier over time. Let the technique last for around 1,5 to 4 minutes and apply it when you are wired.
Some say to apply the technique a minumum of 5 times per day. Don’t procrastinate when you are doing stressful behaviour.
